| | Call for entries: K through ENMU Juried Youth Art Exhibition | | Description: | ENTRY DEADLINE: Thursday, March 8, 5 p.m. About the exhibition: Any student in kindergarten through their senior year of college that is within 50 miles of Eastern New Mexico University (Portales, NM) is eligible to enter. Students in public school, private school or are homeschooled are eligible. Only one entry per student, free to enter. Traditional studio art or digital art are welcomed including photography. Two- and three-dimensional works will be accepted. Two-dimensional works can be no larger than 40x40 inches. And three-dimensional works can be no larger than 10x10x10 inches. Works on paper must be matted or attached to a black mat board with at least a half inch and no more than three inches of border round all edges. No hanging hardware. Works on canvas do not have to be matted. No frames are allowed. Entries must be delivered to the office of Bryan Hahn in the ENMU Department of Art no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012. | | Call for entries: Superstition, National Juried Illustration Exhibition | | Description: | ENTRY DEADLINE: Friday, March 16, 5 p.m. About the exhibition: Social, cultural, political, gender, and sexual superstitions are deeply engrained into the lives of many people. The scope and belief of superstitions can be so powerful that they govern people's daily interactions, practices, and choices. The aim of this exhibition is to feature illustrations that offer personal narrative surrounding superstition. Eligibility: General guidelines: The show is open to any artist living in the continental United States. Each artist is limited to a maximum of six entries. Illustrations can be traditional hand drawn/painted illustration, digital illustration, or a combination of both. Illustrations must be original, completed within the last five years, and not previously shown at the Eastern New Mexico University's Runnels Gallery.
