| | Landusky History Days - Blast From the Past | | Description: | The Landusky School, tucked in the foothills of the Little Rocky Mountains of Montana, is a place that matters. It is one of the oldest schools in Montana, built in 1894 to educate the children of miners, homesteaders and outlaws. At one time, it did have a post office, but now has to use Dodson, Montana's post office which is 48 miles north.The school, now owned by The Landusky Foundation (a non-profit organization), is being used as a community center, offering a place to host activities as diverse as dances, church services and voting. It is a cornerstone of the cultural and historic preservation of this small but lovely community, whose members strive to protect, enhance and enjoy the true spirit of this wild, scenic place. To help preserve the history of Landusky and surrounding communities, the LFI has their annual Landusky History Days during the 4th of July weekend. | | 2012 Landusky Reunion | | Description: | It is with great pleasure to annouce the 2012 Landusky Reunion that will be held on July 6-8, 2012, at the Landusky Community Hall. The last reunion was held twenty years ago and we think it is about time we have one before we are all gone. This year, we need information from you to help us plan the event for all.
