| | Lose For Life Weight Loss Challenge | | Description: | Lose For Life Weight Loss Challenge is a new opportunity for individuals to lose weight for a cause. This program will begin on September 6th, 2011 and will finish on Saturday June 9th, 2012. One of the fundamental aspects of the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life is the Fight Back program. The Fight Back program encourages individuals to maintain a healthy lifestyle in order to reduce their risk of getting cancer. One of the ways to do this is to maintain a healthy weight. Here is how the program will work. Each participant will pay a $5 weekly fee on weigh in day - Tuesdays from 7:00pm-7:30pm at the Perry Public Library. 50% of the money from the weekly fees will benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of Northern Dallas County 2012. The other 50% will be awarded to the individual with the highest percentage of weight loss on June 9th, 2012.
